Yahoo! Italia has teamed up with Italian mobile telephony operator 3 Italia to launch in Italy the Yahoo! Internet Key powered by 3. The device is a USB key for mobile internet access from fixed and portable PCs, offering speeds of up to 7.2 Mbps download and 1.4 Mbps upload. The device is available free with a data contract from 3, at EUR 19 per month for 10 GB data, available from Yahoo!’s mobile internet site. Users can also buy the device in 3 stores for pay-as-you-go access at EUR 0.90 per hour. 3 and Yahoo! plan to introduce the co-branded key in other European markets later.
