There is TONS of information out there about how to make money online. It’s very confusing.

However, what if you just wanted the basics, the high level ways that are popular for making money online right now, in 2008? What would they be?

I’ll start off with a few and you can add to it. My suggestions were probably the same for the past years also except the first one:

Subcription Services
Create a cool and valuable service and then charge monthly for it. I just did it and so have many other around the blogosphere.

Subscriptions are great additions to a blog.

Sell Your Own Product
You’ll be seeing some scripts and “products” for sale from me shortly. I’m already selling a few of my own products on some other sites and loving it.

I love getting 100% of the profit instead of just a commision.

Affiliate Marketing
Sell other people’s products, aka affiliate marketing.

Do whatever it takes to send people to a merchants website and earn a commision when they buy something. Amazon.com and Ebay.com are sites that pay affiliate commisions on sales.

Sell Private Advertising
Build a popular blog, website, profile, anything that gets bunches of traffic and then sell ad space to advertisers.

Simple as that, people will pay you for your traffic.

Write For SomeOne Else

You can write for a blog network like b5media, weblogs inc, or other sites like mahalo.com and associatedmedia.com and get paid for your efforts. There are many people making good part time incomes doing this.

Outsource Your Talents
Similar to “write for someone else” comes outsourcing your talents.

Get paid to do design, writing, programming, virtual assisting, or whatever you are good at.

Sell yourself.

What Else?

I’m sure that’s just scratching the surface of what’s popular right now for making money online, or am I? What else?
